What is Dillon Hall?
Dillon Hall is a senior apartment community that offers one-bedroom/one-bath and two-bedroom/two-bath units to qualified applicants. Located off Gull Road on the former Nazareth College campus, the building offers controlled access and an emergency response system for resident safety. Entrance ramps equipped with snowmelt systems and two modernized elevators make the building accessible year round. Dillon Hall is a smoke-free environment with on-site laundry facilities, a beauty salon and storage units for residents. The building is situated on Kalamazoo’s Metro Transit bus line. The Dillon Hall mini-van also provides transportation to nearby grocery stores each week.
Who is eligible to live at Dillon Hall and what are the rental costs?
Dillon Hall was formed in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide affordable housing for seniors in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Dillon Hall apartments are available to individuals age 62 or older who meet income requirements. Dillon Hall also accepts applications from people younger than age 62 who meet HUD requirements. Who owns and manages Dillon Hall?
Dillon Complex for Independent Living, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation that operates as a sponsored ministry of the Congregation of St. Joseph (CSJ). In keeping with the tradition of the CSJ, Dillon Hall’s community-based Board of Trustees is committed to providing affordable housing within an inclusive, caring, respectful and homelike atmosphere. For that reason, Dillon Hall welcomes all qualified individuals age 62 and older, as well as younger applicants whose disability meets U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development qualifications. Dillon Hall is an Equal Housing Opportunity provider and protects all residents from discrimination based on race, color, creed, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, sexual orientation or disability.
To oversee rental and maintenance services for Dillon Hall, the Board of Trustees selected a local, professional management company. Lockhart Management & Consulting (LMC) is based in Kalamazoo, Michigan and has decades of experience managing market rate and affordable housing properties. Michele McCurdie is the on-site Dillon Hall Property Manager.
Are pets allowed at Dillon Hall?

Does Dillon Hall provide any additional services to new residents?
Newcomers to Dillon Hall are welcome to meet with our Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) to learn about area resources. The Dillon Hall RSC works with new residents to identify supports as needed and appropriate, and to provide referrals to community services.
